Some of my most recent craft projects

I've been busy the last few weeks, and so has my sewing machine. Here's just a few of the projects I've cranked out so far:

Another nightgown for my daughter in the same style as the heirloom nightgown I made for her. Here's a close-up view of the top:

This one was made from a men's dress shirt. SuperDad never wore it and the embroidery was beautiful, so I removed the pockets and used this tutorial to make a pretty nightgown for the Princess. I think this one is too pretty! I'm thinking some thicker button-down shirts, maybe in size XL or bigger, would make perfect summer dresses next year!

I also made myself a nightgown with the same tutorial, except I actually used pillowcases for this one. I stitched together two off-white extra long pillowcases and it hits just below my knees. I love it!

My nephews moved to Utah this summer and since winters are a lot colder up there than they are down here, I made them each a flannel patchwork scarf:
And some flannel mittens with a cotton batting layer in between to keep their little fingers extra warm. I used this tutorial for these:
And the Tiny Man requested his own pair of mittens, so I went ahead and made some for the Princess, too. Big Brother is a little big for mittens, I believe. These both have metallic accents (the snowflakes on the green ones and a glitter overlay on the red ones):

Next on my list is scarves for my own boys and some more crayon rolls, to hold 24 crayons this time. Oh, and a baby quilt is in the works for my lovely cousin Lydia and her baby boy (who, by the way, is due to arrive the week after my birthday)!

Eek! Caleb is already excited about his gift! I know he'll love it. And I love the nightgown you made for yourself. I've got a top sheet that doesn't have a bottom (well, it did, but I used it for another project, thinking I'd lost the top....). Anyway, that might make a good nightgown!
