Random Randomness in Meme Form

I was tagged for this random meme by DeeDee. Thanks for the tag, DeeDee!

1. What time did you get up this morning? Well, the alarm went off at 6:30, but I didn’t actually drag my big ol’ hiney out of bed until around 6:57. We hit the snooze three times. But it was actually 6:32 AM since I set the alarm clock 25 minutes fast. I don't know why. Don't ask.
2. Diamonds or pearls? I wore both on my wedding day.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? If we hadn’t gone to see Cars last summer, it would have been Jonah, the Veggie Tales movie, back in 2002.

4. What is your favorite TV show? Right now, I’d have to say it’s Smallville or Heroes.

5. What did you have for breakfast? Honey Nut Cheerios with a banana cut up in it. And instead of the regular cup of coffee, I’m drinking bottled water. /Sigh

6. What is your middle name? Nicole

7. What is your favorite cuisine? Mexican. I love me some homemade tamales!

8. What foods do you dislike? Coconut. Blech.

9. What are your favorite chips? Pringles. I just bought some of the Spicy Guacamole flavor and the Loaded Baked Potato flavor and had to put them up high and out of sight so I don’t eat the whole can at once.

10. What is your favorite CD at the moment? Hmm, well, I have many favorites, so I’m constantly changing CDs in the car. My favorite favorites are listed on my sidebar at the right.

11. What kind of car do you drive? A 2006 PT Cruiser. I love it! Just don’t hit a cat going 65 or you’ll wind up with a $600 repair bill to replace the radiator that BROKE from the impact. With a cat.

12. Favorite sandwich? Wheat bread, lots of roast beef, smoked turkey, pepperoni, cheese, mayo or Dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, maybe some avocado and black olives

13. What are characteristics you can’t stand? Whining and temper tantrums. Both of which I am subjected to on an hourly basis.

14. What are your favorite clothes? Now that it’s getting warm out, I live in my denim shorts with the elastic waist and little bows on the sides and a T-shirt. In the cooler months, I replace the shorts with sweatpants and if it’s really cold, top it all off with my favorite sweatshirt or flannel.

15. If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go? Tuscany or Ireland.

Where is sixteen? Oh, sixteen. Not a great year for me. I think I was in my boots and Rockies phase at sixteen. Pictures from that time are sad. My hair was just wrong. It was 1993. Let’s move on, shall we?

17. Where would you want to retire? Hmm, I really don’t know. Probably somewhere around where I live now - out in the Texas countryside. Maybe, though, to Ireland or Tuscany. But I’ll have to visit those countries first to see.

18. Favorite time of day? When the kids nap or I can go to bed.

19. Where were you born? In the hospital, duh! Hehehe, also, in Arlington, Texas.

20. What is your favorite sport to watch? My little boy playing t-ball. I don’t watch sports on TV. It bores me.

21. Coke or Pepsi? Dr. Pepper, baby!

22. Beavers or ducks? Umm, I don’t know. I like ducks, I guess. My kids like to feed the ducks on campus where I go to school.

23. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Neither. If I had my way about it, I’d sleep uninterrupted till 10 AM and go to bed at 10 PM or before. But I never get my way about it.

24. Pedicure or manicure? I’ve never had a pedicure. I’ve had a few manicures, though. Once, for my senior prom, I was wearing a white dress, so I got my nails done and had them painted a pearly white color and had a cute little bunny decal put on one of them. Only later did I realize it was a Playboy bunny. Hmph.

25. What did you want to be when you were little? I wanted to be a fighter pilot like in Top Gun. Or a teacher. Or a ballerina. Or something.

26. What is your best childhood memory? The New Year’s Eve where my sister and I were spending the night at our grandparents’ house. We took many sheets of yellow paper and cut it up into teeny little pieces, enough to fill a big brown grocery sack, and at midnight, we used it as confetti. My grandmother got doused with confetti again that spring when she turned on the ceiling fan for the first time. Good times...

27. Ever been to Africa? No, but that would be cool. I’d like to go there some day.

28. Ever been toilet papering? No, nobody ever asked me to go. I was too chicken, anyway.

29. Been in a car accident? Yes, several. I wasn’t hurt in any of them, though, and they were never the fault of the driver of the car I was in. The only time I ever hit anything while I was driving - well, see #11 above.

30. Favorite day of the week? Saturdays when SuperDad doesn’t have to work.

31. Favorite restaurant? Applebee’s or Red Lobster or Molina’s.

32. Favorite flower? Roses, I think. Big fat red ones, like the ones that grow at my house.

33. Favorite ice-cream? Chocolate. One time, we went out to eat with my grandparents and my mom asked me to go get her some cobbler with ice cream on it. I put chocolate on top. She made me eat it.

34. Favorite fast food restaurant? I think maybe either Subway or Quizno’s.

35. How many times did you fail your driver’s test? None!

36. From whom did you get your last e-mail? It was from DeeDee, telling me she tagged me for this meme!

37. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card? Wal Mart, buying groceries.

38. Last person you went to dinner with? My husband and the kids. But I’m going with my husband and some friends tomorrow - without the kids. This will be a first for me.
See my post from yesterday.

39. What are you listening to right now? Right now, since the kids are coloring and actually playing quietly, all I can hear (besides my fingers typing on my keyboard) is birds chirping and cows mooing outside.

40. What is your favorite color? Purple. My wedding colors were two shades of purple: dark and light.

41. How many tattoos do you have? None, unless you count the spot on my right knee where I got stabbed with a pencil in 6th grade. Boy took my pencil and I got it back!

42. How many are you sending this Email to? I’m posting this on my blog. But to be fair, I’ll send an email to everyone in my address book with the link. Hi, email friends!

43. What time did you finish this e-mail blog entry? 9:54 AM.

44. Favorite magazine: It used to be Victoria, but they went out of business, so I guess now I don’t really have a favorite. I need to get one, I guess.

45. Coffee or tea? Iced tea all day long. Coffee in the morning or on the way to school. Or at school - there’s a Starbucks on campus. Yay!

46. Do you tan easily or burn easily? When I was little, I stayed tan. Now, though, my legs might blind people, so I’d say I probably would burn easily.

47. Do you color your hair? If so, how often? I’ve only colored my hair twice. My best friend helped me one time and we used a color that was so close to my regular shade that you couldn’t tell a difference. But I freaked out when she started rinsing and it rinsed out purple. Scared me. And once I used a hair color that was clear and was supposed to make your hair shiny, but I didn’t notice a difference then, either. I did go through a brief period of wanting to dye my hair with blue streaks, but thank goodness I changed my mind. Or was too chicken. Whatever.

48. What was the first car you ever purchased without the help of your parents? After we got married, SuperDad and I bought our youth pastor’s 1988 Dodge Colt by paying $50/week for six weeks. It lasted a little over a year, I think, so when it finally gave up on us, we got a brand new 1999 Ford Escort ZX2. It was a neat little car and we had it until July 4, 2002 when some old lady decided to turn out in front of us at a traffic light. Totaled the car. I was sad.

49. What is your most dreaded household chore? All of them! I hate washing dishes, so they pile up on me and even though I do wash clothes, I have trouble being motivated enough to put them away. So we may or may not live out of piles of clean clothes on the floor of my room. Ahem.
